Registration in the Travel Registry activates MSU-provided international health insurance, evacuation and repatriation insurance, facilitates the Universitys emergency support services, and provides you with important pre-departure information.

Access to the MSU Global Travel Registry

Anyone with an MSU NetID may access the MSU Global Travel Registry. Travelers may register their itineraries or may have a fellow traveler or administrative support person register travel on their behalf. All travelers are encouraged to log in to the MSU Global Travel Registry to update their personal profile.

Travel Registration

MSU faculty, staff, and students traveling internationally on University-affiliated, non-education abroad travel must register their trip with MSU. Affiliated travel is funded by MSU or in connection with your employment or enrollment at MSU. This includes registered student organizations, students traveling with MSU faculty or staff, faculty and staff leading MSU-sponsored programming (like alternative spring break), and College of Law international programs.

Education Abroad participants are already registered in the Office for Education Abroad system and do not need to register that travel in the registry.

Students proposing travel to a country with a Travel Warning issued by the U.S. Department of State must receive approval from the Provost before they may travel.

MSU units or departments registering international travelers should use the information provided on the Pre-Trip Authorization Form. Once the international trip is successfully registered, the traveler(s) will receive a confirmation email.

Travel can also be registered via the web application at: https://travelregistry.msu.edu/
